Welcome to My World of Tea and Orange
Hello, I’m Liyuan Peng, but you can call me Miss Orange.
My name holds a story: 桔 (Jú). It’s the Chinese character for the vibrant color and the sweet, sun-kissed fruit. More than that, it has come to symbolize my journey.
If you look closely, 桔 is made of two parts: 木 (mù), meaning "tree," and 吉 (jí), meaning "fortune" or "blessing." For me, this is perfect. My move to Portland, Oregon—a place cradled by evergreens and majestic redwoods—felt like coming home to that very blessing of trees.
Throughout my life, orange has remained my constant love. It’s a color that holds memory and a scent that carries me back. I can still smell the zest of oranges filling the air at my grandmother’s home on Chinese New Year’s Eve. Peeling them with my cousins, our fingers sticky and sweet, is a memory etched in my mind—a touchstone of joy and family that has followed me ever since.
In many ways, this is the world of tea. A single aroma, a particular taste, can transport you to the best moments of your life. It can track you down and bring you home.
Pursuing your passion isn’t always easy, and making dreams come true takes courage. For me, the color orange is my reminder. It urges me to never lose that passion for seeking out what I love and for discovering the next, most perfect tea.
And now, that dream is taking root.
My teahouse is in progress, slowly blossoming here in my dream city of Portland. It is my deepest hope that soon, this space will be your sanctuary to pause, to breathe, and to savor a truly wonderful cup of tea.

Why Pu-er Tea?
I am passionate about Pu-er tea and want to share its wonders with the world. The goal is to source directly from the mountains of Yunnan, Southwestern China. I work on that every cup of tea you enjoy is not only delicious but also supports the local communities, specifically Mt. Hekai and Mangfei area where the land are sustainable for the live of tea trees. Join me on this journey and discover the rich flavors and health benefits of Pu-er tea.

Water 水
We attend not only to temperature and measure, but to water's essential softness. Portland's own water—sourced from Mt. Hood's melting snow—is naturally soft at only 7 ppm, a perfect match for unlocking tea's subtlest notes.

柔润之质，涵养茶魂。我们不仅关注水与茶的比例与温度，更注重水“柔”的本质。波特兰的水，源自胡德山融雪，硬度仅7ppm，是天然馈赠的极软之水。其珍贵，不仅在于能毫无侵略性地释放茶之本味，更在于它印证了一种古老的智慧：以不争不抢的柔和，对待每一片茶叶，恰是最好的方式。
这正合《道德经》所言：“天下莫柔弱于水，而攻坚强者莫之能胜”。
